Our guest on this Alzheimer’s Talks will be Dr. Nathan Rose, Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame. Researchers using MRI technology watch memories being formed, and then forgotten – but some people have been able to recall what looked on the MRI to be forgotten memories, showing there is brain activity that neuroscientists can't see with current neuroimaging technology. They also were able to bring a 'silent memory' back with a zap of magnetic radiation. The hope is that this research will help find ways to help us retain more information, or even ways to activate the brain to retrieve lost memories.
