Tell Congress: Protect Alzheimer's research!

If members of Congress don't act soon, dramatic reductions in federal funding for medical research will go into effect in early March. On New Year’s Day, Congress postponed these cuts for two months, but this is only a short-term stay.

If Congress does not act before March 1, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) budget alone would be reduced by more than $2 billion in 2013! This one-size-fits-all approach to deficit reduction would cut millions of dollars in Alzheimer's research and could end the kind of work that scientists believe will help us stop Alzheimer's in the coming decade. We can't let this happen!

Tell your elected officials: Don't give up on Alzheimer's research – don't decimate biomedical research funding in America.

Don't forget – your letter will have more impact if you personalize it. So please take a moment to explain the impact Alzheimer's has had on your life.
